Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team and assist in providing high-quality dental care to our patients. The Dental Assistant will work closely with our dental professionals to ensure efficient and effective patient care. The ideal candidate should have a passion for oral health and patient well-being.
Duties:
- Assist dentists during dental procedures by handing them instruments and anticipating their needs
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize dental instruments following aseptic technique guidelines
- Maintain accurate patient records and update information as necessary
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Perform dental x-rays and impressions as needed
- Manage inventory and order dental supplies as required
- Provide support in various dental procedures.
- Utilize knowledge of dental terminology to communicate effectively with the dental team
Skills:
- Proven experience in Dental assisting
- Familiarity with dental software Opendental is a plus
- Proficiency in using aseptic techniques to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Knowledge of various dental procedures
- Strong communication skills to interact with patients and colleagues effectively
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or diploma in Dental Assisting preferred
- Valid license or certification to practice as a Dental Assistant
