The Quality Hotel & Suites at the Falls is looking to hire on a Full-Time Front Desk Supervisor with strong managerial skills. The position will entail assisting in, and leading the team by creating a warm, inviting and memorable experience for our owners and guests. This individual will participate in the hiring, training, evaluation, and supervision of front desk personnel. The Supervisor’s main focus will be continued ongoing training, coaching, and counseling. This individual will ensure the staff’s commitment to maintaining company standards and excellent guest service expectations are met. Front Desk Supervisor Responsibilities:
- Assist Front Desk Manager in assuring Front Desk business transactions (check-ins/out, etc.), are completed in accordance with company standards
- Train and supervise the front desk associates to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures
- Assist in leading the front desk team toward providing an exceptional and memorable experience for all guests, including coaching, ongoing training, counseling
- Provide associates with guidance on handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated guest complaints or disputes
- Observe and provide direct constructive feedback to employees. Display unique problem solving to obtain a positive outcome in adverse guest and employee situations
- Evaluate associate job performance and recommend appropriate rewards or corrective actions, as needed
- Provide excellent customer service
- Maintain up to date knowledge about hotel services, promotions, special packages and features
- Assist Guest Services Manager in producing certain management reports on a weekly or monthly basis
- Effectively communicate within the Front Office and to its partners, Maintenance, Housekeeping, etc.
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Attend Manager meetings
- Other projects as assigned by the General Manager, Assistant General Manager or Guest Services Manager
Front Desk Supervisor Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- A minimum of 2 years of experience as a front desk manager (REQUIRED)
- Knowledgeable in Choice Hotel front desk software systems (REQUIRED)
- Good understanding of procedures and practices in the hospitality industry
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- The ability to provide exceptional customer service
- Good leadership and training abilities
