Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design structural components essential for project development
- Conduct structural calculations for wood, steel, and reinforced concrete in both commercial and residential settings
- Apply national codes and standards such as IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC
- Stay updated on new engineering methods, techniques, and standards
- Resolve project challenges and provide technical guidance to colleagues
- Foster a collaborative team environment
- Work independently with minimal supervision
- Perform additional tasks as assigned
Job Requirements: Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Proficiency in design codes including IRC, IBC, ASCE-7, ACI, and AISC
- PE license in Texas
- Experience with analytical software, AutoCAD, RISA, and Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong communication and client interface skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to changing priorities
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering
- Minimum of 7 years' experience in residential and commercial engineering
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Certificates & Licenses:
- State of Texas Structural Engineer License
