We are currently seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee our construction projects from inception to completion in the LA and LA County area.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee daily operations of construction sites, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage in-house construction crews and coordinate with subcontractors for specialized trades such as traffic signals, street lighting, striping, landscaping, and irrigation.
- Serve as the primary point of contact with city officials and the public, maintaining open and effective communication throughout project lifecycles.
- Read, understand, and interpret civil drawings to accurately plan and execute construction projects.
- Complete daily reporting requirements, monitor project progress, and make adjustments as necessary to meet project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety guidelines and quality control measures, including the management and enforcement of safety protocols on-site.
- Cultivate a culture of safety and quality, conducting regular site inspections and audits.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent, Foreman, or Engineer, preferably within road construction or similar fields.
- Strong leadership skills and experience managing both in-house crews and subcontractors.
- Ability to read and interpret civil drawings and technical specifications.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with city officials, subcontractors, and the public.
- A commitment to upholding the highest safety and quality standards.
- Preferably have experience with Procore.
- Must be
- Certified in First Aid and CPR
- Possess OSHA 30 certification
- Familiar with Traffic control regulations (LADOT, MUTCD)
- Have a valid driver’s license
