The Inventory and Shipping & Receiving Specialist plays a crucial role in managing our warehouse inventory. You will collaborate closely with warehouse personnel, operations teams, and management to maintain efficient inventory operations.
Key Responsibilities:
The Inventory and Shipping & Receiving Specialist supports the control of the flow of stock through a warehouse, monitoring and recording goods in and out, safely and efficiently moving and handling items and keeping stock records.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Planning, Quality control and inventory management;
- Daily planning and outlining the schedule:
- Daily Planning and outlining the schedule of resources with Warehouse
Operations Manager, Deputy Warehouse Operations Manager at 3pm daily;
Quality control:
- Working with the Warehouse Operations Manager, Assistant Operations Manager and team to ensure all loads in and out are accurate;
Inventory management:
- Knowledge of previous use of a warehouse management system and the ability to learn to use our warehouse management system to input and check entries for inbounds and outbounds;
- Be an additional expert on our inventory, assist with cycle counts, end of the month counts, customer queries, etc;
- Ensuring Booth personnel are working effectively (creating labels, yard checks, etc);
Customer Queries:
Deals with customer queries in relations to inbounds and outbounds
End-of-Day Procedures:
- Prepare for the next day's operations by organizing outbound orders, finalizing shipping details, and preparing handling forms for upcoming inbound shipments.
- Requirements:
- At least 3 years of experience working in a Warehouse is required.
- Ability to count items and record them properly.
- Knowledge of cargowise is required.
- Inventory Control Management;
- Quality Control expertise;
- Experience of achieving efficiency and quality control of warehouse operations;
- Computer applications using MS office and Excel;
- Essential Inventory control applications experience such as Cargowise system; A willingness to be hands on where required to get the job done.
Other:
- Must be able to work in varying facility conditions;
- Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours as needed;
