About the Position
The Front Desk Associate is a key position at Scenthound, focused on providing exceptional and personalized service to every customer. The job is a simple 8-5pm schedule, no nights and minimal weekend hours. This position requires:
- Sales experience and confidence
- Customer service experience (retail or restaurant)
- Computer/ Technology proficiency
- A passion for dogs and dog health & wellness!
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to safely lift up to 50 lbs
- Willingness to work in a smoke-free environment
Who We Are Looking For
We are searching for a goal-oriented team member who has a passion for sales and customer service! A successful Front Desk Associate is outgoing, self-motivated, an independent problem solver, and a compassionate dog lover! We are looking for a motived team member who wants to advance their career through our training path to become a Scenthound Manager!
Tasks
- Answer phone calls, schedule customer appointments, manage customer profiles and records
- Drive membership sales through health and wellness education
- Drive key performance indicators – average ticket price and rebook ratio – through memberships, service add-ons, and retail sales
- Check dogs in and out (is a hands on process!)
- Manage cash drawer – responsible for daily cash handling
- Manage customer expectations; Resolve customer concerns; Retain memberships
- Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Scenter Manager
Skills and Abilities
- Basic dog handling (no professional experience needed, but dog owners/lovers preferred)
- Confidence in selling services and products
- Ability to connect with customers (both canine and human!) and provide outstanding customer service
- Ability to learn our products and services to educate the dog parents; speak to our values and culture as a basis for our services
- Effective communication with team members and dog parents (in person and on the phone)
- Independently solve problems using Scenthound values and culture as a guide
- Attention to detail
- Accountability; hold oneself and others to Scenthound standards
