Essential Functions
Job Responsibilities as Director of Maintenance (65% Of Time):
· Provide strategic leadership and direction for the maintenance department
· Manage and coordinate maintenance activities, including scheduled inspections, repairs, modifications, and troubleshooting
· Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer guidelines, and company policies and procedures
· Develop and implement maintenance programs to optimize aircraft reliability, performance, and longevity
· Lead a team of skilled technicians and mechanics, fostering a culture of safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement
· Collaborate with management and administration to achieve operational objectives and minimize aircraft downtime
· Conduct performance evaluations, training, and professional development initiatives for maintenance personnel
· Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including aircraft logbooks, maintenance logs, and regulatory documentation
Job Responsibilities as A&P/IA (35% Of Time):
· Conduct thorough aircraft inspections, noting all discrepancies
· Diagnose mechanical or electrical faults and fix efficiently
· Run various maintenance tests and checks to ensure all components are working to full capacity and that the aircraft is safe to fly
· Perform quality checks on the work of others to ensure compliance and performance standards are met
· Interpret flight data to diagnose malfunction and performance problems
· Accurately record readings, labor, and parts
· Read and understand maintenance manuals and other technical documents

Job Specifications
Leadership Responsibility: As Director of Maintenance the position requires self-leadership and accountability to mechanics.
Work Environment: The environment can be loud because of aircraft engines and equipment.
Position Type/Standard Schedule: This is a full-time position, M-F 7:30 am - 4:30 pm.
Work Location: In person.
Ability to Relocate: Cumberland, Wisconsin.
Travel: This position does not require travel.

Pay: $90,000+/yearly.
Education & Experience
· Excellent leadership, communication, and organization skills
· FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification (required)
· Inspection Authorization (IA) Certificate (required)
· Aircraft maintenance: IO 550 minimum 5 years (required)
· Previous experience as a Director of Maintenance or in a senior leadership role within an aviation maintenance organization
· Extensive experience working with Continental engines and Cirrus aircraft
· Strong knowledge of FAA regulations, airworthiness directives, and industry best practices
