Bartender/Beertender Job Description
As a Bartender/Beertender at Golf Pub Social, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional service to our patrons by pouring and serving a wide selection of beers and wines. You'll play a pivotal role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring that guests have a memorable experience while enjoying our golf simulators and amenities. You will report directly to the General Manager
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a bartending or beertending role, preferably in a craft beer-focused establishment.
- Strong knowledge of beer styles, wine styles, and industry trends.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to engage with customers in a friendly and approachable manner.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
- hold any required certifications or permits for alcohol service. (alcohol certification)
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pour and serve a diverse range of beers and wines, ensuring proper handling and presentation
- Provide recommendations and descriptions of beer and wine offerings to customers, helping them make informed choices based on their preferences
- Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of beer and wine styles, breweries, and flavor profiles to enhance the customer experience
- Greet customers warmly and engage in friendly conversation to create a welcoming atmosphere.
- Assist customers in selecting beers and wines that suit their taste preferences and offer samples for tasting when appropriate
- Address customer inquiries and provide information about beer and wine offerings, specials, and promotions
- Customer conflict resolution or escalate to manager
- Help maintain customer retention
- Keep the beer taps clean and properly maintained to ensure the quality and freshness of the beer
- Monitor keg levels and rotate stock to maintain a diverse selection of beers on tap
- Ensure that the bar area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with glassware, coasters, and other supplies
- Wash and sanitize dishes and glassware according to ServSafe requirements
- Clearly date and label all open bottles of wine
- Assist with serving, bussing, and running of food as needed
- Process customer orders accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system
- Handle cash and credit card transactions, providing customers with accurate receipts and change as needed
- Maintain a balanced cash drawer and reconcile sales at the end of each shift
- Follow opening/closing checklist procedures
- Promote featured beers, wines, seasonal releases, and events to customers to drive sales and enhance their experience
- Upsell additional items such as beer flights, wine flights, or merchandise to increase revenue and customer satisfaction
- Collaborate with management and staff to develop creative promotions and marketing strategies to attract beer and or wine enthusiasts to our establishment
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $10.00 per hour
