This Operations Manager at Apache Logistics will be responsible for maintaining customer relationships with multiple accounts and ensuring smooth operations with an emphasis on safety, compliance and exceptional service.
Position Details:
- Clearly communicate issues to our customers
- Instruct drivers, following up on details and seeing tasks through to completion
- Be attentive and thorough in satisfying customer and employee needs
- Work in an on-call, after hours, environment when problems arise
- Work closely with our equipment leasing companies on the upkeep of our equipment
- Work closely with outside vendors on repairs of our equipment
- Creating practical solutions that address the customer’s operational and financial needs
- Collaborating and listening to other ideas
- Some travel required to meet and coach drivers
Required Skills and Abilities
- Three years experience managing drivers
- Must be an effective communicator -- It is imperative to be successful in this
- position to be able to clearly communicate issues to our customers
- Problem solving skills and creative thinking
- Able to make decisions independently when necessary
- Must be organized
- Prioritizing tasks
- Must be punctual
- Safety oriented
- Understanding of CSA and DOT compliance
- Must be able to work within a team
- Knowledge of DOT files and basic hiring practices
- Routing software and e-logging knowledge is a plus
- Computer skills: Office suite; Understanding databases; Android based smartphones or tablets
