Eileen’s Special Cheesecake is seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead the front of house operations. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to utilize their previous experience working with a team of 5+ people, for a long-term career. Help coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation.
Specifically responsible for maintaining the work flow and coaching counter attendants on compliance; Steps of Service; POS and Cash Transactions; Help Supervise Daily Tasks required by Counter/Attendants; Complete Open and Close Checklists; Help maintain merchandising and displays in FOH; Collaborate with other Managers to develop an efficient and effective Front of House Schedule.
Assistant Manager’s Primary Responsibilities
o Working Sundays are a must
o Check Register & change drawer for bank accuracy
o Check email & voicemail for overnight orders.
o Check order box for the day’s orders and future orders.
o Check wholesale & deliveries book to insure its current and accurate.
o Communicate deliveries to drivers.
o Promote, work, and act in a manner consistent with the principles and standards of Eileen’s Bakery.
o Ensure that all business policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs and followed and completed on a timely basis.
o Achieve company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and creating a positive, productive working environment.
o Monitor baking and food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation to ensure that items are prepared and presented in an acceptable manner.
o Ensure compliance with all federal, state, county and municipal regulations that pertain to health, safety and labor requirements of the employees, and guests.
o Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and reconciliation procedures in accordance with policies and procedures.
o Count money and prepare bank deposits, if required.
o Resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations.
o Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the ’s receiving policies and procedures.
o Perform some food preparation or service tasks, such as decorating and packaging cakes, and serving food and drinks when necessary.
o Organize and direct worker training, make hiring and termination recommendations.
o Be knowledgeable of HR policies regarding personnel.
o Fill-in for fellow employees where needed to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations.
