Description:
In accordance with company policies and procedures, the Quality Supervisor works with Operational, Quality and Engineering personnel to maintain and advance the reliability of Yellow Jacket products. They will assist in defining and modifying existing products or processes to increase efficiency or improve performance.
CRITICAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Support Quality & Operations by ensuring that properly trained and equipped inspectors are available at each stage of the operation.
2. Work from verbal or written instructions, quality standards and/or other quality documents.
3. Train and support Quality Inspectors in new and existing inspections and quality checks.
4. Perform and root cause analysis and continuous improvement activities including planning, conducting and documenting activities and checks. Analyze information collected from root cause and continuous improvement activities and make recommendations to reduce risks with product/process.
5. In conjunction with Quality Inspectors, assures that manufactured units meet quality control standards, engineering specifications and customer requirements.
6. Initiates NCR’s and Corrective Action Requests as required.
7. Perform customer / vendor visits to perform audits or to support Yellow Jacket’s product use and manufacture.
8. Develop and/or modify test plans, work instructions, and other product support documentation
9. Perform hands on work in operations and inspection to better understand processes and product performance during manufacture, inspection and use
10. Manage, Lead and Direct Inspection Personnel
11. Read and interpret drawings, specifications, MTR’s and certifications.
Requirements:
JOB REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS:
1. 5+ years inspection / quality experience
2. 1+ years’ experience supervision / management
3. Must be able to pass an ATF Background check
4. Able to visit customer rig sites to perform inspection and troubleshooting or to assist in training personnel
5. Proficient with using spreadsheets and familiar with Bills of Materials and product Routings to support manufacturing processes
6. Hands-on experience using inspection and measurement equipment (thread gages, calipers, micrometers, and other inspection devices)
7. Excels in a highly dynamic organization, managing changes in direction and priority
8. Effective interpersonal/written communication skills; can interact with all levels of management
9. Ability to work on multiple projects with limited direction
10. Hands-on land-based wireline or general oil field experience is a plus
