Enhance customer experience through acting as key administrative support role for Order Entry, Customer Service, and Accounting Departments to best service J.R. Merritt Controls.
Duties:
- Accept and process incoming purchase orders from JRMC customers; communicate with customers as needed to resolve any purchase order discrepancies
- Provide daily administrative assistance to the Accounting Department including, but not limited to, credit card processing, invoicing, credit application processing, and maintaining completed order files
- Display strong verbal and written communication skills by responding to customer inquiries via phone and email, including order status updates, changes to open orders, or requests for new quotes
- Resolve customer concerns with accuracy and efficiency and follow up to ensure customer satisfaction; as needed, elevate concerns to management
- Use strong organizational skills to prioritize customer requests while supporting the Customer Service and Accounting Departments
- Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, and Production Departments to ensure all orders are processed and invoiced properly
- Ensure JRMC databases contain up-to-date account and contact information for customers
- Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude toward customers and coworkers at all times
- Perform other related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ year of customer service / order processing / invoicing experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Detail oriented and organized
- Self-motivated with strong problem solving skills
- HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in manufacturing industry
- Advanced computer skills
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field
