The person in this role will work with the high-performance product, process and R&D team and drive innovative solutions that we offer to the market. The position interacts with the top automotive, commercial vehicle OEM and Tier 1’s for powertrain, chassis. - Field sales team, driving the close of new business, new accounts, Business Development work done from that perspective.
- Existing customers to be managed.
- Quoting responsibilities to new and existing customers.
- Pricing management.
- Handle existing customers and new customer management
- We do expect this person to travel to customers (new and existing) which the travel will happen about 40% of the time.
- When it comes to this target audience. They will want to be in Face to face meetings and interactions with director level and above management as their customer base.
- Forecasting responsibilities. You be trained up on internal systems and how we operated.
- Monthly and quarterly, forecasts
- AOP creation.
- 5 years strategy for the two market segments which are transportation and industrial.
- KPIs.
- Financial performance compared to that of the AOP
- Metrics around new business attainments
- Metrics around booking new business
- Standard metrics for market teams.
REQUIRED FOR THE SUB-MARKET LEAD
- Four-year college degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Engineering/Science, or similar field.
- 5+ years of marketing / sales experience including at least two years of supervisory experience or equivalent as determined by department management. Experience in international sales and / or organizational design is a plus.
- Strategically minded, assesses our value proposition application to market
- Engage proactively with customers at senior leadership levels
- Collaborate cross-functionally throughout Carpenter organization as needed
