Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Archaeologist to join our team. As an Field Archaeologist, you will be responsible for construction monitoring in the field, conducting research, analyzing artifacts, and documenting findings. Responsibilities:
- Conduct Construction Monitoring in the field
- Conduct archaeological surveys and excavations in designated areas
- Collect and analyze data using various techniques and tools
- Supervise field crews during excavation projects
- Document findings and prepare detailed reports
- Use GPS and other equipment to accurately record site locations
- Collaborate with other professionals to interpret findings and develop research plans
- Assist in the preservation and curation of artifacts
- Conduct laboratory analysis on collected samples
Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Archaeology or a related field
- Proven experience in archaeological fieldwork and excavation techniques
- Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and interpretation
- Strong technical writing skills for report preparation
- Familiarity with GIS software, such as ArcGIS
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
