Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse
- Assist with medical procedures, such as catheter care and sterile processing
- Monitor patients' conditions and report any changes to the nursing staff
- Provide emotional support to patients and their families
- Assist with mobility and ambulation of patients
- Document patient information accurately and timely
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program
- Current certification as a nursing assistant (CNA)
- Experience in acute care or long-term care settings preferred
- Knowledge of basic medical terminology and procedures
- Ability to phlebotomize and perform basic life support (BLS)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
