This part-time permanent position is Monday through Friday, approximately 24 hours per week, in a modern, climate-controlled production facility.

Job Summary: The Shipping and Receiving Team Member is responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments of goods within the organization. This includes verifying the accuracy of shipments, preparing items for shipment, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely delivery. Additionally, the Shipping and Receiving Clerk may be responsible for maintaining inventory records and managing storage facilities.
Responsibilities:
Receive incoming shipments, inspecting and verifying the contents against purchase orders or invoices.
Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and ensuring proper documentation is included.
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries, and track shipments to ensure on-time delivery.
Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including tracking stock levels and conducting regular inventory counts.
Organize and maintain storage areas to ensure efficient utilization of space and easy access to inventory.
Communicate with internal teams to coordinate the movement of goods and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
Follow safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
Assist with other warehouse tasks as needed, such as loading and unloading trucks or organizing shipments for distribution.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in shipping and receiving or a related field preferred.
- Familiarity with shipping software and inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items, and operate material handling equipment safely.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Working Conditions: Shipping and receiving clerks typically work in warehouse or distribution center environments. This may involve exposure to various weather conditions and the need to lift heavy objects. The role may require standing or walking for extended periods and operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks.
