We are looking for a Registered Nurse to care for our clients. The ideal candidate will be responsible to give the best nursing care. You will be compassionate and cool-tempered. You will be able to follow health and safety guidelines faithfully and consistently. The goal is to promote the client’s well-being by providing high-quality nursing care.
Responsibilities
- Assistance or observation of administration of medication; and
- Assessment of the person's health status including conducting a focused assessment or an RN nursing assessment
- Verification of medications at the time they are received from the pharmacy by matching labels with doctor's order and medication administration record sheet (MARS) for correct type and amount of medication, or additional times when there are documented medication errors or labs that show the person's therapeutic levels are abnormal;
- Ensuring accuracy of type, amount and dosage instructions of medications at the time the person receives medication from the pharmacy
- Collaborate with physicians and nurses to devise individualized care plans for patient
Skills
- Proven experience as a registered nurse
- Excellent knowledge of working with people with SMI
- Ability to take initiatives
- A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Responsible and compassionate
- Outstanding organizational and multi-tasking skills
- Patient with excellent problem-solving skills
- ASN or BSN from a nursing program
- Valid Texas Nursing License
