Role Description
As our Operations Scheduler, you’ll be responsible for scheduling jobs, while setting the field service team up for success. You’ll also play a part in procuring materials and tracking our assets across projects.
This role requires excellent communication skills, organization, and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction or electrical industries, but that’s not a firm requirement.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain schedules for multiple concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines and resource availability.
- Coordinate with field supervisors and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
- Allocate and schedule field personnel, materials, and equipment to projects based on scope, timelines, and resource availability.
- Monitor project progress and adjust schedules as necessary to accommodate changes, delays, or new priorities.
- Communicate schedule updates, changes, and adjustments to relevant stakeholders in a timely manner.
- Optimize resource utilization and efficiency to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
- Support procurement efforts to ensure timely availability of materials and equipment needed for scheduled projects.
- Maintain accurate records of project schedules, resource allocations, and related documentation.
Qualifications
- Preferably, proven experience as a scheduler (or similar role) in construction or field service.
- Proficiency using digital tools and platforms (e.g., scheduling software).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under deadlines.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts.
- Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy and consistency.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Knowledge of construction or electrical industries is a plus.
