BMC QA
Overview
Design, develop and execute test plans to exercise BMC firmware support for next generation server computers. Work closely with BMC engineering teams to ensure we have a robust, compatible and secure product. Candidate must have experience BMC firmware and must have excellent communication and interaction skills.
Location
· Beaverton, Oregon or possibly remote
Responsibilities
· Design, develop, maintain test plans and evaluate BMC solution on server platforms
· Setup and maintain the test environment and test tools
· Work with a bug tracking system to provide detailed information on how to recreate bugs
· Work with engineering staff to diagnose and resolve bugs
· Provide training to other members on testing best practices
· Implement automation testing wherever feasible
· Assist with the setup, maintenance, and coding required for test automation
Qualifications
· BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent, or 5+ years’ experience in firmware or software testing
· 3+ years’ experience in BMC firmware testing
· Familiarity with IPMI, Redfish and web interface
· Familiarity with bug tracking systems
· Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows and Linux
· Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
· Must work well both with a team and independently
Additional Skills
· Working knowledge of motherboard technologies such as PCIe, USB, UART, SPI, I2C
· Understanding of cryptographic technologies such as public-key cryptography
· Proficiency in Python, Robot Framework and other automated frameworks
· Working knowledge of Jenkins automation tool that facilitates continuous integration
