Job Summary
The Administrative Assistant contributes to the overall success of CR Meyer and its heavy industrial customers through providing administrative support to a designated project team for the duration of the project. Responsible for routine data entry and spreadsheet maintenance regarding employee work hours and other earnings.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Performs various data entry projects, including maintaining employee information in spreadsheets and other company-provided software programs.
- Maintains accurate records, both electronically and paper copies. Follows CR Meyer procedures for all work performed, records retention, etc.
- Performs basic accounting duties including tracking hours for payroll, reviewing expenses, researching questions regarding payments, etc.
- Uses a computer to prepare various documents and spreadsheets as requested and to track hours worked and other earnings. Heavy focus on spreadsheet maintenance.
- Works closely with project team and payroll to ensure that all information is accurate and done in a timely manner.
- Communicates with employees, coworkers and other business partners – both verbally and in writing – in a courteous, professional manner.
- Participates in team meetings, working cooperatively with others.
- Assists other employees in locating, completing and submitting various forms, including field new hire packets and expense sheets.
- Protects confidential information.
- Uses email for communication and submitting information.
- Uses a variety of office machines in completing job duties – i.e. computer, copiers, multi-line phone, fax machine, etc.
- Due to project deadlines and demands, regular and reliable attendance is required.
- Completes all related reports and paperwork in a timely manner.
- Represents the CR Meyer brand in a positive, professional manner at all times.
- All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
- One to three years experience in an administrative support role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite products and ability to learn/use ViewPoint software.
- Ability to complete all CR Meyer training and perform job duties within safety guidelines required.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening and comply with CR Meyer’s Drug & Alcohol Policy and Program.
