Job Description: Little Arrow Outdoor Resort is seeking a Guest Experience Manager who embodies a passion for outdoor activities and a commitment to excellence. The Guest Experience manager is in charge of overseeing all aspects of guest accommodations, customer satisfaction, housekeeping, and reservations. The ideal candidate will ensure that each of our accommodations meets the highest five-star standards while providing exceptional customer service and operational management.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Management:
- Ensure high levels of service through effective team processes and management.
- Address and resolve issues among team members.
- Schedule and oversee direct reports, ensuring proper training and support.
- Develop and implement procedures for lodging and reservations.
- Maintain communication on accommodation and reservation issues with other departments.
Guest Services:
- Serve as the main point of contact for guests, managing phone activity, store walk-ins, and guest check-ins/outs.
- Ensure accurate posting of charges and credits to guest accounts.
- Collect and balance payments for charges.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and concerns.
- Enforce resort rules and regulations to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work alongside the General Manager to coordinate groups and events.
Administrative Duties:
- Schedule and oversee lodging and reservation vendors and subcontractors.
- Order supplies for both lodging and reservations.
- Oversee and maintain shared office spaces and resort amenities such as the Coffee Lounge, Pavilion, Bath Houses, and Laundromat.
- Manage lost and found items.
- Organize and restock housekeeping and reservation supplies.
Financial Management:
- Create and send invoices for housekeeping subcontractors.
- Review and monitor lodging and reservation-related expenses.
- Assist in increasing occupancy and promoting the resort in collaboration with upper management
Maintenance and Special Projects:
- Communicate necessary maintenance tasks and oversee their completion.
- Identify and manage special projects to enhance guest experience.
Housekeeping Oversight:
- Schedule daily housekeeping activities and inspect cleaned accommodations.
- Ensure accommodations are guest-ready by inspecting, organizing, and restocking necessary items.
- Oversee hot tub chemical checks and manage laundry operations.
Position Requirements:
- Strong knowledge and experience in housekeeping techniques, hospitality, and team management.
- Excellent customer service and people skills.
- Ability to work in an environment involving frequent squatting, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Ability to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, including email, internet, spreadsheet, and document creation.
- Ability to commute to work after hours as needed.
Knowledge and Experience:
- High School Diploma; some college-level education preferred.
- Previous experience in the resort/hospitality industry or property management.
- Point of Sale (POS) experience and customer service experience preferred.
Compensation: We offer a competitive salary commensurate with experience, along with paid medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401k, and PTO.
