Facility Technician
We’re seeking a Facility Technician for a full-time opportunity on first shift. As a Facility Technician, you will perform various duties to the operation of a dairy-based facility which utilizes mechanical and biological systems to process cow manure into value-added products such as Renewable Natural Gas, soil amendments and fertilizers, clean water, and animal bedding. These duties include monitoring, operating, maintaining, and repairing a wide variety of assets and systems located at the assigned facility.
Duties:
- Manage all facility equipment, including manure handling, digestion, nutrient recovery, biogas systems, emissions control, and instrumentation (Responsible for SCADA operation)
- Perform routine and non-routine maintenance on all equipment and buildings, including cleaning, painting, preservation, repairs, and groundskeeping
- Complete a variety of process – and quality control related duties including collecting, analyzing, packaging, and shipping, documenting, and reporting samples of various gases, liquids, and solids
- Operate trucks and offroad utility vehicles such as skid steers, loaders, forklifts, and UTV’s
- Conduct work in elevated and/or confined spaces
- Participate and engage in all required training, both in-person sessions and remote learning modules, in all required fields
- Adhere to every safety policy and procedure
Shift Requirements: This position requires a flexible work schedule, including overtime as needed to meet production demands. We offer multiple openings on first and second shifts (Monday through Friday):
- First Shift: 7:30 AM – 3:30 PM
Qualifications:
- Eligible applicants must live within a 45-minute drive from Appleton due to supporting an on-call schedule
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Undergraduate Degree in an applicable field, e.g., maintenance or engineering (electrical, mechanical, or industrial) or 3+ years’ experience in the same field
- Valid Driver's License
- General mechanical aptitude
- Must be comfortable working on mobile elevated work platforms and scissor lifts, and operating utility vehicles such as a skid steer, loader, forklift, and UTV
- Experience and certifications in critical industrial safety practices are highly desired – including Hot Work, Elevated Work, Confined Space Entry, Safe Electrical Work (up to 480VAC), and Lockout/Tagout
