Job Title: Sales Associate
American Native Plants is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Wholesale Sales Associate to join our team. As a Sales Associate, you will provide support to our sales team and contribute to the overall success of the company. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented with a strong sense of personal agency. This position is located in our Middle River, Maryland headquarters but will often need to coordinate with our secondary location in Woodstock, Illinois. The Sales Associate reports directly to the Sales Manager.
This is a full-time position working Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.
Compensation is $20.00-$22.00/hr., commensurate with experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer Service
- Generate quotes – quote plant material per customer specifications with urgency and accuracy
- Quote follow-up – complete customer outreach to ensure quotes are received
- Order completion – check-in customers for pickups, process payments, finalize paperwork
- Communication – maintain professional communication with customers via phone, email, and in-person throughout the ordering process, from initial contact to order completion
- Account management – maintaining customer relationships and ensuring customer satisfaction
Operations
- Purchasing – work with local vendors to procure needed materials
- Delivery Coordination – work with in-house delivery team to coordinate deliveries. Liaise with third-party companies to schedule pallet and freight deliveries
Other Duties: as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in customer service or sales support roles is required
- High School diploma or GED required
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Detail oriented
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Data entry
