POSITION SUMMARY
Options are: 2 x Every Other Weekend 2(8hr or 12hr)
The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager will provide the accountability for the delivery of safe patient care. The responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Daily Operations to include but not limited to coordination of care delivery, facilitating patient flow, secure messaging, telephone triage and assuring quality patient care
- Management, leadership and coaching of nursing and clinical support staff
- Quality improvement activities to monitor, assess performance targets, development and implementation of action plans to improve performance
- Staff development and evaluation
- Maintaining constant state of survey readiness
- Ensuring compliance with standards regarding reusable medical equipment
- Facilitating teamwork to accomplish positive patient care outcomes, and patient and staff satisfaction.
- The Registered Nurse (RN) Manager will have documented evidence of leadership skills with emphasis on group dynamics, fostering collegial relationships, problem-solving, program planning and implementation, and ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Will collaborate with the Nursing Director, Medical Director(s) and Program Director(s) to ensure resulting processes meet medical, nursing, and operational standards to enhance service delivery and minimize medical risk. Will provide on-going support to laboratory and clinical staff to ensure operational success. Provides recommendations and strategies to improve notification process of laboratory results. This position maintains a safe environment and performs all job-related responsibilities in a safe manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Collaborate with the Nursing Director, Medical Director(s) and Program Director(s) to ensure resulting processes meet medical, nursing, and operational standards to enhance service delivery and minimize medical risk.
· Provides on-going support to laboratory and clinical staff to ensure operational success.
· Develops and maintains ongoing policy and protocols to ensure compliance with clinical resulting.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience: Minimum of two years of Longterm care health nursing or relevant experience.
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing. If a higher degree in Nursing was conferred without a BSN, employment may be possible with the stipulation the incumbent successfully completes course work and exams for Principles and Practices of Public Health nursing within a year.

Licenses and Certifications:
- Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in NC issued by the NC Board of Nursing or another Nurse Licensure Compact State.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers (CPR & AED) by the American Heart Association that is valid for at least 90 days after hire. Maintenance of this certification is required and as funds are available may be supported as part of employment.
- May require a valid NC or SC driver's license.
