Integration Engineering
Develop architectural drawing of the different EHRM components to ensure sufficient detail available to oversee integration of Oracle Health modules with VA systems. Provide analysis of technical issues related to integration and recommendations for how to mitigate technical risk. Develop and publish architecture models, diagrams, and other architectural artifacts using VA approved modeling tools. Develop courses of action, analysis of alternatives, and other analysis requests under tight timelines in collaboration with various stakeholders. Matrix support for teams within the Office of the Deputy Chief Information Officer (ODCIO), as well as teams addressing data migration, identify and access management.
Minimum qualifications:
- Must be a US Citizen
- 15+ years of professional work experience
- Must create strategies and plans for integration of multiple IT systems/subsystems into an operational unit, ensuring full functional and performance capabilities are retained.
- Experience in enterprise architecture artifact development and maintenance.
- Ability to conduct architecture modeling in Cameo Enterprise Architecture, Rational Software Architect, or MS Visio.
- Coordinate with teams to assess risks, goals and needs and ensure that all are adequately addressed.
- Must be experienced in introducing new hardware or software into a new or existing environment while minimizing disruption and mitigating risks.
- Must be cost conscience as well addressing goals.
- Ability to work with little direction to produce specifically defined deliverables
- Knowledge of high-level architecture and design support for complex system implementations
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, or equivalent or an additional 8 years of experience may be substituted for degree requirements
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in Department of Defense Architecture Framework (DoDAF)
- VA experience preferred
- Experience implementing Electronic Health Records
