The Opportunity
As a Kitchen Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining Dave’s Gourmet Korean Food’s high standards of providing excellent products. Primary responsibilities will be management of the commercial kitchen and staff while partnering with upper management and owners. There will also be a focus on ensuring food quality meets company expectations, managing inventory, and controlling product and labor costs to ensure budgets are met.
Job Duties:
Operations Management:
- Ensure all company policies are being followed and upheld by staff by overseeing proper training, spot-checking, and creating a culture of accountability
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the commercial kitchen and supervise kitchen personnel by delegating tasks and ensuring all kitchen staff are working in compliance with company policies
- Enforce the break & meal policy at all times
- Maintain high standards of food quality while prioritizing efficient workflow
- Meet all health department standards for safe food handling
Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to upper management
- Oversee cost-effective measures to optimize kitchen expenses
- Ensure that all products are received in correct unit count and condition and deliveries are performed in accordance with the commercial kitchen’s receiving policies and procedures
Team Leadership:
- Train and manage a dedicated team of commercial kitchen staff
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment
- Communicate goals and expectations to kitchen staff
Other Responsibilities:
- Constant communication with upper management
- Must be well-versed in all stations of the kitchen to provide assistance when needed

Qualifications:
- Fluent in English and Spanish
- Flexible work schedule
- Managers are required to work a minimum of 5 days per week and 8 hrs per day
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required
- Schedule may vary based on business demands
- Ability to operate Microsoft Office and Email
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision, attention to detail, and speed
- Proven experience in kitchen management or related role
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation regulations
Physical Demands:
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to stand, walk, talk, and hear for extended periods, at least 8 hours, and traverse all parts of the commercial kitchen quickly
- Must be able to lift, handle, and carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to communicate effectively
