Job Title: Branch Manager
Reports To: Regional Manager
Job Summary and Overview:
The Branch Manager shall be responsible for the daily planning and directing of resources within the branch to reach assigned sales, profitability, and operational goals. This includes profit and loss responsibility as it relates to branch performance. The Manager is responsible for obtaining from the assigned territory, the Company's share of the market for each of the product lines represented. This is accomplished in accordance with the over-all company policies and objectives and at established prices and margins. The Manager will make recommendations that directly impact inventory and stocking strategies. The Manager is responsible for identifying and implementing the training needs of the branch. This requires the local Manager to understand the basic responsibilities of each employee within the local branch. The Manager is responsible for implementing effective processes aimed at maintaining the inventory integrity and customer service goals established for the branch and is responsible for the planning and directing of all warehouse activities including receiving, receiving inspection, stocking, shipping, delivery, and value-add operations. The recommendations and decisions made by this person will have organization-wide impact.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
General Management
- Daily management of all employees within the branch
- Troubleshooting P21, network, and Procedural Issues
- Reporting of Insurance Related Incidents
- Management of Customer Service Issues – shipping and receiving, sales department, deliveries, etc.
- Delivery - Schedules and Plans the delivery of material to customer locations throughout the region
Inventory
- Utilizing available resources to maintain an accurate and complete inventory
- Daily Management of the Min by Customer Report
- Management of Inventory Turns
- Work to eliminate redundant Items-on-the-fly
- Review specific vendors when a product manager makes a visit to the branch
Requirements:
- Requires a working knowledge of the industrial supply business.
