CCL Label is the world's largest converter of pressure sensitive and extruded film materials for a wide range of decorative, instructional and functional applications for large global customers in the consumer packaging, agricultural, healthcare, automotive and consumer durables markets. Extruded plastic tubes, folded instructional leaflets, precision printed & die cut metal components with LED displays and other complementary products and services are sold in parallel to specific end-use markets.
We currently have an opening for a Quality Assurance Technician to test and inspect products at various stages of production process and compiles and evaluates statistical data to determine and maintain quality and reliability of products.
Accountabilities include but are not limited to:
- Routinely inspects labels from all presses checking for quality and to ensure product conforms to customer specifications.
- Identifies product defects. Notifies operators and/or supervisors of problems. Recommends corrective actions, and ensures that required corrections are made.
- Analyzes customer orders. Suggests appropriate means for producing products consistent with standards.
- Informs shift operators of job status, quality problems which have occurred, and corrective actions which have been implemented. Provides documentation as requested.
- Analyzes process, and recommends improvements/changes.
- Completes required forms. Maintains records, logs, and files as directed.
- Assures all paperwork and products produced match and are in order.
- Creates and sends COC and COA via emails to customer.
- Reads a scale to interpret customer specifications and work production settings.
- Maintains color standards and assists all departments with any quality needs.
- Updates and maintains all individual employee training files.
- Maintains all equipment by performing routine maintenance and cleaning.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma.
- Prior quality control experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively in a team environment, as well as independently.
- High degree of integrity and of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Must be able to identify priorities and be well organized in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Microsoft Outlook, and Excel
- Candidates must be self-directed
- Knowledge of QMS
- ISO/BRC audit experienced
- Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time; regularly lift up to 50lbs. Frequently required to walk and monitor processes for extended periods of time.
