A Magnet designated acute care health system located in central Connecticut is currently seeking an experienced full-time Cytotechnologist to join their award-winning healthcare team.

The Cytotechnologist will have the opportunity to work within a team of highly advanced medical professionals that are consistently awarded for their cutting-edge medical care.
Under the direction of the Director of Laboratory Services, the Cytotechnologist will perform microscopic evaluations of gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens. The Cytotechnologist will also assist on FNA procedures in radiology, processing both gynecologic and non-gynecologic specimens, participates in continuing educations and proficiency testing. The Cytotechnologist will evaluate and identify all pathologic cells and organisms to distinguish between normal, abnormal, and malignant cells.
The Cytotechnologist must have a Bachelor’s degree from a program accredited by the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Scientists (NAACLS) or the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP). The Cytotechnologist must also have current CT(ASCP) certification.
