We are looking to fill a 1st shift position in our Quality Department. Below are the preferred skills, duties, and responsibilities you will have performing as our Quality Technician.
Position Summary:
As a Quality Technician at LMT Defense, you will perform a variety of technical assignments with key stakeholders designed to facilitate the function, control, and improvement of LMT. You will be expected to develop and maintain the technical correspondence between the product and business. As the quality technician you will be expected to run technical testing on firearms, checking and assessing the quality of firearms, and taking and reporting data as it corresponds to the product.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
- Work in conjunction with quality, design and process engineering, manufacturing, sales, customer service, and purchasing personnel to resolve problems relative to customer complaints, product design, specifications, materials, tooling, and production operations affecting quality.
- Maintain and improve the NRB cage.
- Assist quality engineering on root cause and corrective action system.
- Establish and maintain all inspection criteria and documentation. (Inspection reports and Inspection procedures).
- Work closely with production supervisors to maintain and communicate quality requirements.
- Prepare necessary reports and maintain all pertinent records.
Education & Experience:
- High school diploma, high school equivalency degree (HSED), or general education degree (GED) is required.
- Accredited 2-year bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field preferred.
- Lean six sigma green belt preferred.
- Knowledge of Firearms is preferred but not required.
- Must possess exceptional analytical ability and organizational skills.
- Must possess skills in advanced mathematics and statistics.
- Must be computer literate.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Understand principles of GD&T
- Familiarity with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and standard measuring equipment
- Ability to write technical reports and business correspondence.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Must be computer literate, including office 365 applications.
- Ability to work independently and in a team when needed.
