PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES, DUTIES & TASKS (list in order):
- Visually assist forklift driver to load either aluminum or galvanized steel coils onto a horizontal payoff.
- String up roll forming machine in preparation for operation, using specific feeding tools or personal protective equipment as required.
- Working from production work orders, established methods and procedures, and item specific production rates, operate a multi station roll forming machine, as assigned, to roll form various linear products such as roof edges, soffit and fascia cap.
- Pre-form corrugated cartons and fill with product. Seal using a stapler, bander or other similar tools.
- Make sure that product and carton labels are correct and applied properly in the correct location.
- Move the finished carton from the packing table to a storage or shipping rack using established pushing/lifting techniques.
- Transport the rack full of finished goods from the machine to a prearranged staging area using a riding pallet jack.
- Retrieve metal storage racks utilizing walkie pallet jack.
- Measure length of product as required and observe product quality, such as surface defects or form/shape defects, etc. during operation.
- Notify supervisor of any production or quality problems.
- Lubricate the machine and/or refill lubrication devices as required.
- Cut up and dispose of scrap as instructed. Maintain the work area in a safe and orderly condition.
- Fill out all required paperwork and or enter all time and production information into the computer in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform other similar or related duties as assigned.

- Basic Math is required.
- Reading and understanding company orders and inventory reports.
- The person in this position must have the ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, verbal, diagram and schedule form.
