The Rumina Center is an innovative model of care. We focus on postpartum families, providing infant-feeding support, postpartum mental healthcare, pediatric physical therapy, virtual & in-person support groups, and classes. Our focus is on supporting new families and helping them reach their goals for their babies, as babies are unpredictable, flexibility is key. Our goal is to provide excellent care and support to new families in the Baltimore area.

Our medical biller is responsible for handling the day-to-day insurance and billing operations of the office, per HIPAA regulation. This includes insurance verification, claim submission, rejected or denied claim remediation, and the collection of invoice payments.
A successful candidate will be personable, detail-oriented, flexible and organized, and will work well with our team members to help ensure that our patients get the best care possible.
Responsibilities:
- Verify insurance eligibility for families
- Submit claims to proper insurance
- Follow up on post-processing billing activity, i.e. rejected/denied claims and overpayments
- Prepare and collect payment for invoices
- Monitor and resolve aging revenue and credit card reports
- Handle and track medical record and pre-authorization requests and submission
- Communicate with insurance companies, patients and providers as necessary to complete claims processing and/or resolve claim issues
- Work well with clients and the rest of our team!
Experience with programs such as Availity, Office Ally, and PracticeQ is a plus!
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 - $21.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 30 per week
