Specialty Products & Services is an established service provider contracted with the Missouri Department of Mental Health with over 28 years in business. The agency is based in Dexter, MO and is seeking full-time and part-time providers to live and work in southern Missouri locations providing behavior services to individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD). Our agency is seeking providers who live in, or are willing to relocate to, locations in or near cities in southern Missouri: Dexter, Cape Girardeau, Jackson, Sikeston, Poplar Bluff, West Plains, and others in the area.
Our agency serves children and adults diagnosed with IDD and Autism who live and work in their communities, served by our agency and/or other service providers. Many are dual diagnosed with mental illness. The Behavior Analyst or Behavior Therapist would provide direct services to individuals to assess targeted behaviors and create treatment plans for the individual’s team to reduce negative behaviors and increase the quality of life for the individual. Day-to-day duties include direct observation of the individual, crisis intervention, record review, interviewing the individual’s team, developing a behavior treatment plan that supports the individual, educating the individual’s team on the plan, executing the plan, and regular monitoring and reporting on the success of the plan. The Behavior Analyst or Behavior Therapist works closely with the individual, their family/support staff, the individuals’ case managers, and physicians.
Qualified candidates for the Behavior Services Program will have completed a master’s level education in Applied Behavior Analysis, Professional Counseling, Social Work, or Psychology and be board certified, or licensed to practice clinically in the state of Missouri. Additionally, successful candidates for the position would possess the following skills: excellent verbal and written communication, time management, facilitation of educational/instructional meetings, responsiveness to crisis, and positive resolution of conflict. The position will involve travel within a designated radius based on the location of the provider’s home.
