Position Summary:
Hawkeye Hotels is seeking a dynamic and experienced Task Force General Manager (GM) to join our team, that is centrally located to the Minneapolis region. The Task Force GM will be responsible for overseeing hotel operations, ensuring guest satisfaction, and implementing corporate strategies at various Marriott properties. This role requires flexibility, travel, and a proven track record in hospitality management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership: Provide strong, decisive leadership to hotel teams, fostering a positive work environment and promoting a culture of excellence.
- Operations Management: Oversee daily hotel operations, ensuring compliance with Marriott standards and policies.
- Guest Experience: Ensure exceptional guest service, address guest concerns, and continuously improve service quality.
- Financial Performance: Manage budgets, financial reporting, and revenue strategies to achieve financial targets.
- Team Development: Mentor and develop hotel staff, ensuring ongoing training and career development opportunities.
- Crisis Management: Respond to emergencies and unforeseen issues promptly and effectively.
- Compliance: Ensure all operations comply with local laws, regulations, and Marriott’s corporate guidelines.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively and be deployed to various Marriott properties as needed.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality management, with a strong background with Marriott.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in financial management and budgeting.
- Ability to adapt to different environments and work under pressure.
- Certifications: Relevant industry certifications are a plus.
- Travel: Willingness to travel extensively and work in different locations as required.
