POSITION PROFILE:
Plan, prep, set up and provide quality service in all areas of food production for menu items and specials in the designated outlets in accordance with standards and plating guide specifications. Maintain organization, cleanliness and sanitation of work areas and equipment.

Located at Palihotel Culver City, Simonette is the perfect gathering spot for locals and travelers alike. The menu is hearty and simple yet refined by its French nature. It’s shared mussels and a beer at lunch, a hamburger with Dijon served with a side of French-style green beans, or pomme frites. It’s a pork chop and ratatouille served with two martinis at night. It’s utilitarian, unpretentious, and totally chic! THE TASK AT HAND:

Build teamwork and trust with your fellow kitchen teammates.

To work as part of the wider restaurant team
-
Understand the functional administration of the restaurant, i.e., docket procedures, stations, table numbers, food labeling etc.

Complete preparation of produce as instructed
-
Maintaining stock rotation when taking in deliveries and using produce
-
Knowledge of the full menus at each meal period and their execution
-
Assist in training staff menu knowledge
-
Adherence to and teach all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, and training programs
-
To comply with legal requirements under the H&S act 1974 and food hygiene
-
Advises supervisor of kitchen equipment repair or replacement.

All food prepared to specification
-
Assist in checking that staff has completed and recorded the cleaning duties
-
Stock items used in the correct order
-
All work areas set up ready for other members of the team when you leave them

Tasks completed in good time

Food labels and temperature records completed

Tries to take the bigger picture into consideration and is confident as to when and where to seek guidance and clarity from senior members of the team.

Must be able to stand or walk a minimum eight-hour shift.

Requires mobility and prolonged standing, walking, bending, and lifting up to 50 lbs

2- 5 years of experience as a Line Cook in a high-quality full service or fast casual environment
