Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our properties. The Property Manager will be responsible for ensuring the efficient management of residential and commercial properties, including leasing, maintenance, and tenant relations. This is a full-time position.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of property leasing, including advertising vacancies, conducting tenant screenings, and preparing lease agreements
- Maintain accurate records of rental payments, expenses, and maintenance requests
- Preferred: Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including Fair Housing regulations and LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) guidelines
- Handle tenant inquiries and resolve any issues or conflicts that arise in a timely and professional manner
- Coordinate property maintenance and repairs, including scheduling contractors and overseeing work quality
- Conduct regular property inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards and identify any necessary repairs or improvements
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with tenants, vendors, and community organizations
- Utilize property management software (such as OneSite) to track leasing activities, maintenance requests, and financial transactions
Experience:
- Previous experience in HUD Project Based Section programs
- Previous experience in property management or related field is required
- Strong knowledge of legal administrative procedures related to property management
- Familiarity with LIHTC guidelines is preferred
- Proficiency in using property management software (e.g., OneSite) is highly desirable
- Excellent conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes effectively
- Knowledge of real estate administrative processes and procedures
- Strong administrative skills with attention to detail
- Understanding of facilities management principles
