Holiday Inn & Suites Lake City is seeking a Restaurant Server/Banquet Captain to oversee the entire process of banquets within the hotel. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and safety standards. The goal is to accelerate our business development by providing customers with a memorable experience.
Responsibilities and Duties as Banquet Captain
A banquet captain supervises and assists personnel at all catering events. As a banquet captain, you will train banquet staff, coordinate drink and beverage service, and oversee the setup and cleanup of each event. This person will be trained to use all audio/visual equipment within the hotel and be the key person to assist customers with them as well. Your responsibilities are likely to vary depending on the event, but you may delegate various duties to your staff while focusing on high-quality service and sanitation. You also work directly with clients and guests at the event to ensure that attendees are satisfied with the service.
Responsibilities and Duties as Restaurant Server
- Present restaurant menus and help customers select food/beverages
- Take/serve orders and answer questions or make recommendations for other products
- Collaborate with other restaurant servers and kitchen/bar staff
- Issue bills and accept payment
- Promote dedication from customers
- Prepare restaurant tables with special attention to sanitation and order

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
