About the Opportunity.
As the Plant Controller (Rhinelander) you will partner closely with the Plant Manager and team to effectively manage and control the finances for the plant at which they are located. These responsibilities will include, general accounting, cost accounting, business analysis, financial reporting and budget process support. This position is located in Rhinelander, Wisconsin and we are offering relocation assistance for those not residing in the local area.
Essential Functions and Primary Responsibilities:
- Manage monthly financial close and ensure alignment with the corporate consolidation process.
- Provide internal audit function and assure key monthly reconciliations are completed and analyzed.
- Provide analytical and strong business process support to plant operations.
- Provide an accurate and timely forecast for the business.
- Manage internal reporting process for assigned facility.
- Manage external audit relationships at the plant level.
- Develop, maintain and monitor internal controls.
- Ensure accuracy of the physical inventory.
- Lead continuous improvement efforts.
Minimum Occupational Requirements:
- 5-7 years of experience as a Controller or Cost Manager
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
- CMA, CPA or MBA preferred
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with multiple segments
- Operational internal controls implementation experience, required
- ERP System Proficiency (JD Edwards preferred)
