Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work Onsite with our client in Houston, TX. Interested?
Here's what you'd do:

Inspects, repairs, replaces, installs, and maintains all electrical components and assemblies on gas turbines and compressor-associated packages.

Work and communicate with Engineering, Quality Control, Material Control, and other crafts in production.
-
Maintain and obey all EHS standards.
-
Read red electrical schematics/wiring diagrams and identify electrical components such as breakers, disconnect switches, starters, relays, timers, overloads, and wire panels.

Perform work following all safety procedures and policies.
-
Layout mechanical tubing and use all appropriate tools.
-
Operate tubing benders to make necessary oil, gas, and fuel systems lines in the turbine packages.
-
Assemble the turbine package using different kinds and grades of pipes, tubing, and structural material.
-
Review and interpret complex Assembly instructions, specs, Electrical schematics, and blueprints.

Read P&ID drawings.
-
Inventory, clean, and visually inspect all components, stage all equipment needed for assembly, and safely offload incoming parts off transport using proper lifting/ rigging equipment and technical questions.

Fit structural components using the tools and necessary methods for assembling the client's Gas Turbine and compressor packaging.

Assist fitters and electricians in assembling and testing turbines and associated equipment.

Perform or assist in the complete load testing of gas turbines.

Perform measurements and adjustments for correct tolerances and record measurements for review.

Notify management/engineering of issues and deviations from print and regularly carry out and document simple maintenance and cleaning work according to the specifications or maintenance plan.

Carry out minor repairs within the scope of the available expertise.

Work with management/engineering to refine assembly best practices and Train less experienced Assembly technicians.

A micrometer and indicators are used to measure tolerances to +/-0.001”, as well as hand tools, air grinders, and overhead lifting devices.

Make part adjustments using various machining techniques.
-
Assist and cross-train for test and packaging departments as needed.

Maintain a clean, orderly work area.

Perform all assigned duties as necessary.

Enforce and practice all company work instructions and any quality control system programs the company implements.
