The Warehouse Agent plays a pivotal role in the smooth functioning the company's operations. In addition to general warehouse duties, this role includes the operation of large forklifts to handle heavy loads efficiently and safely. The Warehouse Agent must possess strong forklift driving skills along with a keen eye for detail to ensure the accurate handling of freight within the warehouse.
Receiving and Inspection:
Receive incoming shipments and verify their accuracy against shipping documents. Inspect shipments for damages or discrepancies and document any issues.
Warehousing Operations:
Safely store received goods in designated warehouse locations, optimizing space utilization. Utilize inventory management systems to track stock levels and locations.
Picking, Packing, and Loading:
Prepare orders for outbound shipment according to customer requirements. Pick items from inventory and pack them securely to prevent damage during transit. Operate large forklifts to load and unload shipments, ensuring proper handling and placement.
Shipping Coordination:
Coordinate with freight carriers for outgoing shipments. Prepare shipping documentation, including bills of lading and export paperwork. Schedule pickups and deliveries to ensure timely departure and arrival.
Quality Control:
Conduct quality checks on outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy and completeness. Address any discrepancies or issues with shipments promptly.
Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while operating forklifts and handling freight. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to minimize hazards. Follow company policies and procedures for handling hazardous materials, if applicable.
Driving Large Forklifts:
Operate large forklifts to move heavy loads within the warehouse safely and efficiently. Maneuver forklifts in confined spaces and around obstacles with precision. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance checks on forklifts to ensure their safe operation.
Communication and Collaboration:
Communicate effectively with internal teams, including logistics, customer service, and sales.Collaborate with colleagues to resolve operational challenges and meet customer needs.
Physical Requirements/Education and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in logistics or warehousing preferred.
- Proven experience in warehouse operations, including driving large forklifts.
- Valid forklift operator certification and a clean driving record.
- Proficiency in operating warehouse equipment and inventory management systems.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices for warehouse operations.

Working Conditions:
Monday-Saturday 8AM-6PM (Schedules Vary)
Overtime Required From time to time
The Warehouse Agent role typically involves working in a warehouse environment with exposure to various weather conditions. Physical requirements include lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and operating equipment.
Must be able to travel within Houston and its surrounding counties to each company location as needed.
