Position Overview:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and organized Behavioral Health Coordinator to join our team within an outpatient facility. Successful candidates provide a diverse range of office support, with a significant portion of their work involving composing and preparing materials, coordinating schedules, handling communications and assisting with case management and assignment. The Behavioral Health Coordinator plays a key role in the day-to-day management of all of the programs currently running as part of the Behavioral Health Department.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Data entry and processes of referrals, and authorizations.
- Being the first liaison of communication between staff and families.
- Assist in the coordination of staff and family schedules per requests.
- Greeting families, answering calls, giving directions and answering simple routine concerns.
- Communicate general information to families and staff.
- Distribution of relevant material for events and other functions.
- Constant communication and follow up with In-home staff members.
- Engage in performance management with the staff population.
- Serve as the liaison between external referral agencies and ASun Star.
- Provide excellent customer service to all staff, families, and other departments.
- Perform routine data entry work in EMR, HRIS, and other work management technology/software.
- Prepare materials, reports, and correspondence.
- Answering emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Maintain office inventory and supplies and replenish them as needed.
- Case management and assignment for in-home services.
- MUST be able to market themselves and to staff, families, and other third-party agencies.
- Any other duties as assigned by supervisory and/or management level staff.

Role Schedule:
- Training Schedule: Monday through Friday from 09:00am to 05:00pm
- Regular Schedule: Monday through Friday from 09:00am to 06:00pm
Working environment & Physical Demand:
- Working in a fast-paced, high energy, family-oriented atmosphere.
- Will need to be able to lift at least 10lb.
- Must be able to sit and operate a computer key board for long periods of time.
Salary & Exemption Status:
- This is an hourly, administrative non-exempt role with a minimum of 40-hour workweek.
- $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, payable on a bi-weekly basis, less any required deductions.
