As Infintium works to continue advancement and development in the hydrogen fuel cell marketplace, the need to expand our growing team has never been higher. We are currently looking for a Junior Controls Engineer to be responsible for engaging in the lifecycle development of existing controls applications. You will work alongside senior software engineers to understand requirements, to scope the effect of changes, and to determine the best implementation to achieve intended functionality. This role is perfect for gaining hands-on experience in a start-up environment. The company’s facility is located in Greer, SC near the GSP airport.
This role at Infintium is expected to:
· Implement changes to power cell unit software with guidance from senior software engineers.
· Assist validation engineers with software testing ahead of final release.
· Communicate software changes through enterprise release process.
· Troubleshoot and root-cause potential implementation issues or other undesired behavior.
· Prototype potential updates to software using engineering test assets and hardware.
· Support collection, implementation, and communication of software requirements.
The applicant for this position must meet these requisites:
· BS in a STEM major (Mechanical/Electrical/Chemical Engineer preferred).
· Willingness to learn and to engage with problems in mechanical, electrical, and software design.
· Exposure to functional programming software design.
· Experience with a programming language (C/C++, Python, MATLAB).
· Ability to work with multi-discipline projects.
· Interpersonal skills – customer interaction and effective small team member
Desired Knowledge / Skills:
In addition, the ideal applicant also would meet the following:
· Experience with electromechanical systems and software development processes.
· Hands-on examples of independent troubleshooting of engineering design.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $56,415.87 - $67,941.69 per year
