Company Overview:
Our team is growing, and we have an immediate need for a full-time, results driven Maintenance Technician III to tackle maintenance requests and day to day upkeep at our 400+ unit multifamily portfolio in Hollywood (90028) and Echo Park (90026).
In this role, you will work under a senior property manager in conjunction with other maintenance support staff to tackle open maintenance requests/work orders, deliver turned and renovated vacant units, and ensure the proper upkeep of the property grounds. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable individual with strong organizational skills to work with and support the rest of the maintenance team.
We promote growth and encourage our maintenance staff to take education course to widen their skillset!
Qualifications
Experience with replacing circuit breakers
-Ability to work on-call and overtime hours as needed
-Accurately utilize technology (inventory tracking system, company vehicles, etc.)
-High school diploma or GED
-HVAC Certification
-Skilled in installation, repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of household HVAC systems and miscellaneous household items
-EPA 608 Certification for Refrigerant Management
-Commitment to serving residents in accordance to TAHs Standards of Service
-Must be able to work in environmentally and physically challenging working conditions
-Must be able to lift objects weighing 50 lbs or more regularly
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN RESPONSIBILITIES:
-Repair and installation of HVAC systems as well as circuit breakers
-Respond to service requests in a professional and timely manner
-Communicate clearly, compassionately, and with empathy when speaking with internal team members, vendors and residents
-Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with residents and vendors
-Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems
-Replace circuit breakers
-Consistently maintains a clean work environment
-Captures timesheets and work orders correctly
-Accurately utilize technology (inventory tracking system, company vehicles, etc.) to drive productivity and continuous improvement for maintenance service delivery
-Ability to correspond (in writing and verbally) effectively with team members and vendors
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ Years experience as part of a property management maintenance team
- Prior Yardi maintenance portal desired for service requests, but not required if applicant feels they can learn a new system.
- Well versed in maintenance fields such as turns, electrical work, dry wall and tile repair, plumbing, basic troubleshooting for appliances, as well as HVAC systems, to include other systems as well.
- Flexibility to work varying hours if requested with the team. This would mean to be on call on a rotating shift for emergency calls.
- Self-motivated, with a positive attitude, has the ability to work independently and lead a team.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and customer service skills desired
