Position Overview: The Pool and Gym Attendant is responsible for the maintenance of all pool and gym stations assuring safety and cleanliness while providing exceptional customer service to all residents. Promote a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests in all recreational activities and areas by expressing an upbeat and enthusiastic attitude. Additionally, Fitness Attendants will be responsible for cleaning assigned areas and assisting with Fitness Orientations when needed. Additionally, the Package Receiving Clerk is responsible for receiving, registering, and checking out packages for the residents
Duties and Responsibilities for the Gym:

Ensure a safe workout environment through constant circulation of the floor

Be able to answer basic fitness questions and have extensive knowledge of the equipment and proper workout technique

Be available to set up any user on any piece of equipment or weight machine and properly provide spots to users

Keep the fitness floor clean and make sure all weights are in their proper place

Clean equipment and work with Service vendor to keep all equipment operational
-
Enforce all building policies and procedures, such as no bags on the floor, and proper dress code for all users

Execute emergency procedures when necessary

Report any incident of injury, theft, or broken equipment to the Supervisor on duty

Attend scheduled staff meetings and trainings
-
Communicate effectively with and complete tasks assigned by the Building Manager/ Supervisor on duty
Duties and Responsibilities for the Pool:

Manage and Control Pool Towel Service
-
Service at the Pool – Umbrellas, water station, Lounge Chair Towel setup
-
Greet all guests upon arrival, distribute towels, offer assistance with seating, deliver consistent guest service, exceed guest expectations, and provide all other supporting services.

Clearing used towels, and trash.
-
Enforcing safety protocols as set out by the property.

Monitoring the activity of residents and ensuring their safety.

Reporting any damages or incidences to the supervisor.

Managing the swimming pool cleaning schedule and performing daily inspections.

Periodic Towel Inventory and Stock requisition

Daily walkthrough inspection of facility and Checklist
-
Assists swimmers from water when in danger.

Provide excellent service consistent with the property standards operating procedures and brand attributes.
Requirements

Should be able to work with a computer for communication, Look-Up resident information online for verification, and basic inventory log keeping.

Should be able to lift at least 50 lbs.

Willing to take ownership of all residents’ requests and complaints, try to resolve issues immediately, and follow up to ensure the residents satisfaction.

Generate a package report at the end of the shift.
Qualifications:
-
High School diploma or GED equivalent.
-
At least one year's experience in the hospitality industry.
-
Knowledge of safety hazards and necessary safety precautions sufficient to be able to establish a safe work environment for self and others.

Knowledge of swimming pool equipment sufficient to be able to perform minor maintenance work on the equipment.

Knowledge of pool facilities such as length and depth of all pools.

Excellent verbal communication and customer service skills.

Able to perform physical labor in harsh weather conditions.

Good time management and organizational skills.

Consistent professional appearance and pleasant demeanor.

Willingness to work on weekends, holidays, and after hours.
