Appliance Repair Dispatcher (Remote, On-Call)
Hermes Services Appliance Repair is seeking a highly motivated and organized dispatcher to join our growing team. You'll be the hero behind the scenes, connecting customers with our skilled appliance repair technicians - and getting paid for every successful connection! This on-call, work-from-home position offers flexibility and the chance to build your income based on your performance. Turn customer inquiries into booked appointments for $25 per converted call.
Responsibilities:
- Schedule appliance repair appointments for customers based on technician availability and urgency.
- Dispatch repair jobs to qualified technicians based on location, expertise, and job requirements.
- Provide excellent customer service by answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, and addressing concerns in a friendly and professional manner.
- Gather customer information, including appliance details, nature of the problem, and preferred appointment times.
- Maintain clear and accurate communication with technicians regarding job details, customer information, and updates.
- Track technician progress and update job statuses accordingly.
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction.
- Manage on-call schedule and ensure coverage during designated hours.
- Maintain dispatcher software and ensure smooth operation.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a customer service or dispatcher role.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in computer skills, including scheduling software and basic data entry.
- A positive and professional demeanor.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Reliable internet access and a quiet workspace for clear communication.
- Availability to work a flexible on-call schedule, 9 am-6 pm on weekdays and 9 am-3 pm on Saturdays.
