Job Summary
The Drury Lane Catering & Events Assistant is an entry-level position and is responsible for effectively managing and facilitating private dining events, in partnership with the Catering Managers, while exceeding customer expectations and maximizing facility revenue.
Job Responsibilities:
The Catering & Events Assistant is accountable for representing Drury Lane Theatre and Conference Center to the highest standard. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Coordinating arrangements and details for clients' functions. This includes, but is not limited to; Responding to event inquiries, performing initial walkthroughs, generating contracts, answering client questions in a timely manner, obtaining event information, scheduling payment details and supervising function
- Effectively communicating details and expectations to all departments within the organization to ensure a seamless event from start to finish
- Recognizing opportunities to maximize revenue by up-selling and offering enhancements to create outstanding events
- Office Admin duties may vary on day to day business needs.
Job Requirements :
The ideal Catering and Events Admin candidate will have at least one year of experience as a coordinator. If you have high performance standards, a high level of enthusiasm and thrive in a fast-paced team environment then you just might be the candidate that we're looking for!

Supervisory Responsibility:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
Work Environment:
Office environment: sitting at a desk working/typing on a computer
Conference environment: walking our entire banquet, restaurant and theatre space with clients
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate, converse with, and exchange information, required to be in stationary position at least 50% of the time, use hands and fingers to grab and reach with hands and arms, occasionally required to run, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, may occasionally lift or move up to 20 pounds, specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus and specific hearing abilities include ability to answer and communicate via telephone.
Travel:
This position does not require you to travel.
Required Education and Experience:
Associates degree or comparable work experience, Bachelor’s degree preferable.
