Applicants may qualify for this position in one of the following ways:
A. Having IT-related specialized experience demonstrating
EACH of the four competencies and the specialized experience listed below:
- Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
- Customer Service - Works with clients and customers to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
- Oral Communication - Expresses information to individuals or groups effectively; makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
- Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendation.
AND
One full year (52 weeks) of specialized experience in, or directly related to, the line work of this position.
Specialized experience is demonstrated knowledge of NIST Special Publications (SP), including NIST 800-53, 800-37 and 800-18 or other federal guidance; and knowledge of current security tools, hardware/software security implementation, communication protocols, and encryption techniques/tools.
OR
Having completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management.

Having completed a 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
