British Wire Wheel has been a trusted supplier for classical car enthusiasts and low rider hydraulics for over 3 decades. Previously we had retail locations in Santa Cruz and Fresno California, but now our operations are exclusively online allowing us to offer our products at lower prices.
We are seeking an e-commerce operations and content manager who can help manage the backend of our e-commerce site and selling platforms and is willing to oversee the packaging/order fulfillment, inventory, and other warehouse management duties. This position is a combination of advertising, content creation, customer service, and overseeing packaging and inventory.
As part of a small business, there will be multiple different hats to wear so there are opportunities to get exposed to other aspects of a small business for the right candidate (e.g. content creation, marketing/sales, product development, research, supply chain, accounting and more). We would love to have someone who is interested in growing with us, gaining experience in a variety of skills, and who desires working in a small intimate environment with lots of resources. Commissions, bonuses, and incentive structures can be discussed as we want to motivate employees.
Primary Duties:
- Prepare shipping labels via ShipStation (no prior experience needed).
- Assist with picking and packaging e-commerce orders if needed. This may involve labeling, filling, boxing and case packing products.
- Oversee packaging employee(s) and perform quality assurance of finished goods and picked orders.
- Respond to all customer service inquiries (including both phone calls and emails). Must have good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Website content management: setting up blogs, new pages, creating and optimizing product listings.
- Content creation: creating basic social media posts, sale ads, etc. Must be proficient in photoshop and illustrator.
- Experience with digital marketing (SEO, email, SEM, etc).
- Oversee inventory management and organization.
- Managing product listings and inventory on e-commerce platforms (website, Amazon, eBay), including creating item descriptions, content, and copy.
- Identify, analyze, and execute on opportunities to improve customer service, online user experience, site load times, and other recommended solutions to drive key metrics like traffic, conversion rate, and average order value.
- Ability to work independently in a quiet and small work environment.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures and are willing to create new procedures to streamline existing tasks.
Requirements:
- Degree or experience in business, market, economics or related fields is required.
- Must be comfortable performing physical tasks, carrying 50 lbs, and able to stand up to 8 hours/day. Material handling may include repetitive bending, reaching, standing, walking, and lifting.
- Copywriting and SEO Skills are a plus but training will be provided.
- Experience with Amazon Seller, eBay, and online selling platforms is a plus but again training will be provided.
- Experience with Photoshop, Lightroom, or Canva is a plus.
- Experience with WordPress, Woo Commerce, Shipstation, MailChimp, is preferred but not necessary.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 32-40 hours per week. Some flexible hours allowed
- A couple of weekends a year may be required due to car shows/events
- This is an onsite position. No remote work.
