We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Ultrasonographer to join our medical team. As an Ultrasonographer, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic ultrasound examinations on patients using specialized equipment. Your expertise will play a crucial role in helping physicians diagnose and treat various medical conditions.
Duties:
- Perform ultrasound examinations on patients, following established protocols and procedures
- Prepare patients for procedures by explaining the process and answering any questions or concerns
- Position patients and equipment to obtain high-quality images
- Analyze images to ensure they are of diagnostic quality, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with physicians to interpret and report findings accurately
- Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in ultrasound technology and techniques
Requirements:
- Certification as a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS) or equivalent
- Proficiency in performing abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts ultrasound examinations
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients and healthcare professionals
- Attention to detail and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to adhere to ethical standards and maintain patient confidentiality
