ROCC Program Specialist Announcement
Community Action Partnership of Oregon (CAPO)
CAPO is the State Association for Oregon’s Community Action network of 17 Community Action Agencies and the Oregon Human Development Corporation. CAPO seeks an individual to fill a full-time position as the Rural Oregon Continuum of Care (ROCC) Program Specialist working with the ROCC Program Manager to support management and support of the continuum.
This position will be a CAPO employee. Overall supervision will be split between CAPO’s Executive Director and the ROCC Program Manager. Supervision and support around specific ROCC activities and priorities will be provided by the ROCC Executive Committee. This position is responsible for:
Grant Writing
- Support the ROCC Manager with the HUD CoC Collaborative Grant application response by:
- Coordinating information and support to new and existing agencies on application requirements.
- Assisting in writing and collecting responses and documents from partners.
- Coordinate meeting/ planning around grant writing with member agencies.
- Assisting with agency trainings.
ROCC Management and Support
- Assist in supporting Local Planning Groups, and MAC groups in coordination with HB 5019.
- Note-taking during committee meetings.
- Assist with coordination of in-person meetings including locating a venue, catering, documents preparation, etc.
- Lead in locating and scheduling trainers.
- Create and maintain ROCC marketing materials.
- Monitor the ROCC email account.
- Monitor ROCC website and social media.
- Designated Homeless Services contact for HUD.
- Complete special projects and requests.
- Other duties as assigned.
ROCC Governance
- Record and submit ROCC Board and work group meeting minutes.
- Maintain the Board meeting schedule, including Zoom.
- Prepare and distribute monthly Board packets.
- Attend all ROCC Board and work groups meetings.
Data Management
- Manage ROCC documents in Dropbox, intranet, and any other necessary sites. Ensure documents are easily accessible to member agencies.
Key abilities required are: Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe, and Zoom. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to problem solve, follow-through and be comfortable in fluid, dynamic situations that require creative thinking and pivoting. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision with diverse groups of providers and partners. Flexibility in dealing with issues that arise on a day-to-day basis. Patience. A good sense of humor. A commitment to the mission of CAPO.
Potential to work a flexible work schedule. There is no CAPO office and the work is therefore remote.
